Princeton Webmail – Princeton University has its own Princeton Webmail to ease its students, faculty and staff in accessing their email, contacts and calendars. The university utilizes Outlook Web App in the form of Exchange WebMail (OWA) for graduate students, faculty and staff, and Princeton Gmail for undergraduate students. For beginner, maybe you do not know what type of account you want to use. If you find that problem, you can call the Office of Information Technology Help Desk at (609) 258-HELP for assistance.

Princeton Webmail Email

When you successfully create your account, you will be notified about your Princeton netID and temporary password. Students will receive an email message with their Princeton netID and temporary password based on the home email address their submitted. After they receive their netID as well as temporary password email message, their Princeton Gmail account will be fully activated up to 24 hours due to system processing. Both Students and Special Student netIDs will be emailed to students so they can enter the data whether they are first-year students or mid-May.

Students will also get instructions to activate their account, setting their security profile, and changing their password to a secure one. After completing those steps, students can access their email and the University network or campus computer resources when they are at the campus.

Activate Princeton Webmail Account

For Graduate Students, their OIT account is provisioned when they are admitted in mid-January. They will receive an email notification containing their Princeton netID and temporary password based on the home email address their submitted. For Dean of the Faculty hires, they will get their netID mailers at their home address and home email. They will also be given a copy that will be sent to their department manager. For Human Resources hires, they will receive their netID and temporary passwords in mailers to their home address and home email. For PPL Employees, the netID mailers will be sent to PPL Human Resources and will be activated no sooner than 7 days before hire date.
